WHAT ARE THEY HIDING?The tranquility is shattered in this small town along the beautiful Hudson River Valley in upstate New York. Its a bizarre and crazy murder.

But what are they hiding down in the basement?SUMMARY:A mall security guard is apparently killed by a man dressed up as a shopping mall elf. Why? Join Darby Weston as he debunks the murder and finds out what really happened. On the eve of Black Friday, a security guard stumbled onto something so terrible that they had to kill him.

The next morning when the shopping malls doors opened for the big Black Friday sale, customers found his body stuffed under the malls main Christmas tree. A most gruesome Christmas present. And the crime scene was right next to Santa Claus and a line of families and small children. What kind of maniac would do such a thing? And why? These Black Fridays are just getting crazier every year. Will the reporter Darby Weston, investigating the murder, and his new Icelandic girlfriend Carissa, find out who did it?

Or will they too become victims? Somebody is trying to kill the reporter.Darby Weston is a free-lance investigative reporter. After a tip from his FBI friend, a popular magazine sends him to the mall to find out who killed the guard and why. Its an impossible case involving possible money laundering and who knows what else?

Even the FBI is stumped. But Weston never gives up. He uses all his crack skills as an investigative reporter, talking to anyone who knows anything. Even moving into the Catskills mansion of the suspect. Will he have to become a butler for a few weeks?

Is the maid, Carissa, also the murderers mistress?Ride along with Darby Weston as he snoops around the mega mall in upstate New York. And hold on to your hat as Darby careens across the waters off the coast of Africa in a heart pounding speedboat chase as he traces the supply route.

This reporter has covered many a war, and he has picked up a few survival skills along the way. Most of the story happens in the vicinity of Woodstock and Saugerties, New York, famous for the two Woodstock music festivals in the 60s and 90s- three days of peace and love. No more. Now its shopping malls, theme parks, and murder. But most of it is still in a beautiful setting amidst the dazzling winter scenery of the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson River Valley.

The surrounding forests, rivers, and gentle mountains look like they are out of picture postcards. Much of this area is a state and federal nature preservation area. It angers reporter Darby Weston that criminals can be operating freely in these treasured lands.***The author is looking forward to meeting you at future book signings and at book talks.[This overview is Copyright © 2014 by G.
